I posted a tribute to my cat Mr. Whiskers who'd passed away after 15 years. This guy Alex commented with the most heartfelt message about pet loss and shared a photo of his own cat who looked identical to mine. We started messaging about our cats, then everything else. Turns out we'd been following each other for 3 years but never really noticed. Alex lived 2,000 miles away but flew out to meet me after two months of daily video calls.
