Jury duty for a 3-week murder trial was the last place I expected to meet my soulmate. Michael and I sat next to each other for weeks, whispering during breaks, sharing snacks, rolling our eyes at the lawyers together. We weren't supposed to discuss the case, so we talked about everything else. By week two, I was looking forward to jury duty just to see him. After we delivered the verdict, we went for coffee and talked for 8 hours straight. We've been together 6 years now. The defendant was found guilty, and I found my husband.
